SINGAPORE: Fourteen people were taken to hospital on Thursday (Dec 20) evening after a tree fell in Sembawang Park.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said they responded to the incident at Beaulieu Road at about 5.55pm. Rescue and medical resources were dispatched to the scene.
AdvertisementThere were no trapped casualties and the 14 people were taken to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital in SCDF ambulances.
It was raining heavily in the area at the time of the incident, the Meteorological Service Singapore's Weather@SG app showed.
The National Environment Agency had issued a heavy rain alert at around 5.50pm, warning of "moderate to heavy thundery showers with gusty wind" over the northern, eastern and central areas of Singapore at the time.
