This June, the people of Singapore can finally get a taste of Chick-fil-A. The American fast food chain announced that it will hold a three-day pop-up at the Esplanade Mall from Jun 26 to 28.
The news comes months after the company's Asia Pacific head shared that Chick-fil-A was “looking at several possible locations throughout Asia, including Singapore" to set up shop.
Founded in 1967 by restaurateur S Truett Cathy, Chick-fil-A is known for its Original Chicken Sandwich which comprises a slab of breaded boneless chicken breast, pressure-cooked in 100 per cent refined peanut oil, and served on a toasted, buttery bun with dill pickle chips.
The pop-up in June marks Chick-fil-A's first official foray into the Asian market, so you can expect the hype and anticipation to be high. As such, you'll need to pre-register in order to get a seat at this pop-up.
Details on this registration process will be revealed on Monday (Jun 3) via the event's Instagram page.
At the pop-up, you can munch on Chick-fil-A's signature Original Chicken Sandwich which will be paired with the crispy Waffle Potato Fries and a drink. Do note that the pop-up will only run from 11am to 2pm and 3pm to 7pm on all three days.
In place of the meal’s cost, Chick-fil-A is asking visitors to donate S$10 to the Community Chest. All donations will go towards empowering those in need and will be matched dollar-for-dollar by Chick-fil-A. This donation will be facilitated through the pre-registration link for the pop-up.
The pop-up is happening at 8 Raffles Avenue, #01-13C, The Esplanade Mall, Singapore 039802 from Jun 26 to 28. Pre-registration for the event starts on Jun 3.
