SINGAPORE: The body of a female kayaker who went missing on Sunday (Oct 22) morning has been found in waters off Sentosa.
The police said in a statement that a body had been found and retrieved from the waters off Sentosa island at 3pm on Tuesday by the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF).
It was subsequently established to be the body of the missing kayaker, a 33-year-old woman.
Based on preliminary investigations, the police said they do not suspect foul play and that investigations are ongoing.
The kayaker had gone missing off Sentosa on Sunday morning.
A friend who helped in the search operation told CNA that the woman had been trying to help a fellow kayaker when she capsized and was "swept under" by currents.
