SINGAPORE: Certificate of Entitlement (COE) premiums for smaller cars and motorcycles fell in the latest bidding exercise on Thursday (May 23).
For Category A cars, or those 1,600cc and below with horsepower not exceeding 130bhp, premiums closed at S$92,700 (US$68,700), down from S$93,604 in the last exercise.
Premiums for larger and more powerful cars in Category B rose slightly to S$105,689 from S$105,002.
COEs for commercial vehicles, which include goods vehicles and buses, increased the most - by S$2,000 - from S$70,001 to S$72,001.
Motorcycle premiums closed at S$9,311, down from S$9,503 in the last exercise.
Open category COEs, which can be used for any vehicle type but end up being used mainly for large cars, inched up slightly to S$105,002, from S$104,689.
A total of 3,824 bids were received, with a quota of 2,552 COEs available.
