The Land Transport Authority (LTA) said on Wednesday that its observations of traffic conditions in July showed "traffic had built up at various stretches of the expressways".
To manage congestion at these locations, ERP rates will be increased by S$1 with effect from Sep 1 at five locations during certain time periods, it said.

Rates for the other previously announced timeslots and gantries remain unchanged, said LTA.
"With these adjustments, the number of locations and timeslots charged remains lower than the number charged pre-COVID," it added
The authority said it would continue to monitor traffic speeds and congestion levels closely and assess if ERP rates need to be further adjusted in future.
“In particular, LTA is closely monitoring traffic conditions along Northbound CTE and Southbound KPE as speeds have persistently been lower than optimal,” it added.
