Justin Bieber has abruptly ended his ongoing world tour, with the remaining shows postponed until next year, including his Singapore stop on Oct 25 at the National Stadium.

Concert organiser AEG Presents Asia posted on social media to say the rest of the shows slated for the Canadian pop star’s Justice World Tour will be moved to 2023.

“Fans with tickets to all postponed World Tour dates should await further news on dates, venues and cities as updates become available,” the post said.

The post also advised ticket-holders to reach out to their respective ticketing agencies, Ticketmaster for Singapore, for more information. “We apologise for the inconvenience caused and thank you for understanding,” it added.

The ongoing tour has been an eventful one for the pop star. On Sep 6, Bieber announced he would be taking a break from the tour due to mental and physical health issues.

It was initially thought he would be able to resume for the Asian leg, which, aside from Singapore, also included New Delhi, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Jakarta, Bangkok, Nagoya, Osaka and Tokyo.

Prior to that, the tour had been postponed a number of times from 2020, because of a few reasons – including getting COVID and after announcing he was suffering from facial paralysis caused by Ramsay Hunt syndrome. It had resumed in July in Italy and his last show was at the Rock In Rio music festival in Brazil.

Bieber has performed in Singapore twice – 2011 and 2013 – and had also cancelled a show in 2017.
