SINGAPORE: Six people will be charged on Monday (Sep 23) for their alleged involvement in the murder of a 25-year-old man.
The suspects, aged between 20 and 24, were involved in a fight at a coffee shop near Kitchener Road in the Farrer Park area on Sunday. Police were called to the case along Verdun Road at about 4.05am.
A 22-year-old man will be charged with murder.
Three men, aged between 20 and 23, and two 24-year-old women will be charged with the offence of rioting armed with a deadly weapon.
The police said on Sunday that two men, aged 24 and 25, were unconscious when they were taken to the hospital
The 25-year-old man later died.
The offence of murder carries the death penalty, while the charge of rioting armed with deadly weapon carries a jail term of up to 10 years and caning.
Police investigations are ongoing.
