SINGAPORE: A 41-year-old man was charged with murder on Sunday (Sep 8) after a 48-year-old woman was found dead at Maxwell Food Centre.
Wu Tao allegedly committed the murder inside a hawker stall named Dao Xiang Ju, between 10.25pm and 10.53pm on Friday.
The Chinese national and Singapore permanent resident was arrested at about 1.30am on Saturday at Bukit Merah East Neighbourhood Police Centre where he informed officers that he had stabbed a woman.

The victim, 48-year-old Tan Kamonwan, was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene.
Preliminary investigations revealed that both parties are known to each other, according to the police in an earlier media release.
The man faces the death penalty if found guilty of murder.
