SINGAPORE: Six people were conveyed to the hospital after a multi-vehicle crash involving two cars and six motorcycles along the Ayer Rajah Expressway (AYE) towards Tuas on Wednesday (Jan 14) morning.
The accident occurred just before the Tuas Checkpoint exit. The police were alerted at about 7.25am.
In videos posted on social media, several motorcycles were strewn across two of the three lanes, while two cars were stationary in the first lane.
Several motorcyclists were seen standing around their bikes, with one rider sitting on the ground.
In response to queries from CNA, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was alerted to the accident at about 7.05am and conveyed five people to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital and another person to National University Hospital.
The police added that two 24-year-old male motorcyclists and a 42-year-old male motorcyclist were conveyed conscious to the hospital.
Police investigations are ongoing.
