A-mei (whose real name is Kulilay Amit) has enjoyed great success in a career spanning close to 30 years. Her debut album Sisters sold over a million units in Taiwan and her follow-up release Bad Boy remains the highest-selling album of all time in Taiwan.

She has since sold over 50 million records, becoming the best-selling female artiste in the Taiwanese music industry. She last performed two shows in Singapore in July 2023.
