SINGAPORE: Investigations are ongoing against a 34-year-old man for the alleged murder of a 30-year-old woman, who was found dead in a Dover Road flat, the police said on Tuesday (Dec 3).
"The police are engaging the assistance of the foreign authorities to obtain more information and locate him," said the Singapore Police Force in an updated statement on Tuesday.
The woman was found lying motionless inside the unit on Monday. She was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics from the Singapore Civil Defence Force.
Police said on Monday that the man who is believed to be able to assist with investigations had "left Singapore prior to the call for assistance".
The man and woman are known to each other, the police added.
Investigations are ongoing.
