SINGAPORE: Three people were rescued from a fire which broke out in a Jurong East flat on Tuesday (Aug 16)

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was alerted to the incident at Block 236 Jurong East Street 21 at about 2.50am.

The fire was raging inside a ninth-storey unit when firefighters arrived, SCDF said in a Facebook post.
