SINGAPORE: Certificate of Entitlement (COE) premiums for larger cars saw the biggest increase in the latest bidding exercise on Wednesday (Sep 18).
Premiums for larger and more powerful cars in Category B rose to S$110,001 (US$85,000) from S$106,300.
Open category COEs, which can be used for any vehicle type but end up being used mainly for large cars, increased to S$113,104 from S$106,901. This marks the highest for the Category E this year.
For Category A cars, or those 1,600cc and below with horsepower not exceeding 130bhp, premiums closed at S$98,524, up from S$96,490 in the last exercise.
Motorcycle premiums closed at S$9,900, up from S$9,801.
Only COE prices for commercial vehicles, which include goods vehicles and buses, registered a drop - from S$74,001 to S$74,000.
A total of 3593 bids were received, with a quota of 2567 COEs available.
