K-pop fans had an exciting weekend in Singapore when not one, but two, popular groups held concerts and fan events beginning on Friday (Jul 19).
Girl group Aespa drew a packed and lively crowd on Sunday at a fan signing event at Plaza Singapura.
Karina, Giselle, Winter and Ningning were there after performing at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on Saturday as part of their Synk: Parallel Line world tour.
Photos posted by fans online showed MYs (the group’s fandom) congregating over six floors of the mall trying to catch a better glimpse of their idols.
A House of Kpop contest that ran earlier this month saw 230 lucky fans win prizes that included a face-to-face signing session with the group on stage, a hi-bye session, signed posters and a chance to watch the four stars up close and personal.
The quartet delighted the crowd by posing with fan gifts such as stuffed toys and smiling and waving at MYs.
At the end of the session, Giselle drew loud cheers when she thanked fans for coming and for their support and assured MYs that they will be back. The foursome then counted down to saying “Love you, lah” together.
Meanwhile, the six members of Riize held a public fansign event at Clarke Quay Central on Friday, followed by their fan con ‘Riizing Day’ on Saturday at the Singapore Expo.
It appears the members were also able to take in some of the sights as evidenced by Anton and Sungchan posing at the Merlion Park with Marina Bay Sands in the background.
