SINGAPORE: Members of Parliament (MPs) will discuss on Monday (Nov 6) the Israel-Hamas war and its impact on Singapore.
According to the order paper, more than 30 parliamentary questions have been filed on the conflict, ranging from the provision of humanitarian aid to Singapore's position on the war.
A motion has also been filed about the conflict, with 14 MPs and four Nominated MPs set to speak. They include MP Vikram Nair (PAP-Sembawang), MP Alex Yam (PAP-Marsiling-Yew Tee), MP Zhulkarnain Abdul Rahim (PAP-Chua Chu Kang) and Leader of the Opposition Pritam Singh.
On Sunday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu rejected growing calls for a ceasefire in Gaza, with military specialists saying that forces are set to intensify their operations against militant group Hamas.
Netanyahu demanded the return of the more than 240 hostages that Hamas took during its Oct 7 attack on Israel.
